As a former cop I can tell you that the overwhelming majority of people wearing the badge are good, honest and hard-working. But that badge is not meant to shield or protect the dirtbags and idiots trying to hide behind it.
If this scum is proven guilty in a court of law, bury his ass under the penitentiary.
As a former military cop I can tell you I have had more than my fill of the stupider of the bunch. I spent years in the reserves with street cops too.
I know for a fact there are too many who think a badge lets them get away with anything, and too many others who will stick up for them and/or look the other way.
Cops should be EXTRA-VIGILANT in policing their own, not covering up.
