I have to admit I was perplexed by this "study" because it seemingly contradicts what is occurring in New York. It simply didn't make any sense. Then Freeper Steve Van Doorn and others at the link offered some plausible explanations.

These tests are based on a the family of family SARS-CoV (which includes is SARS-CoV SARS-CoV-2 and MERS-CoV called Beta-CoVs. Which our body fights with two antibodies both IgG+IgM

They test the most common antibodies (IgG+IgM) and claim in the documentation they test for SAR-CoV-2 which that is part of both IgG+IgM antibody.

Anti-bodie for the The common gold is IgM. Herpes is IgG. I do not know if someone has both the common cold and herpes would give a positive reading it should though.
