The governors order will allow gyms, bowling alleys, salons and some other indoor facilities closed under his shelter in place order to resume operations by Friday if they comply with social distancing requirements and meet other safety standards. And restaurants, which were banned from in-person dining, will be allowed to reopen on April 27 if they meet guidelines his office will release later this week. Theaters will also be covered by those new standards. Bars and nightclubs will stay shuttered.

It’s begining.
We need about ten states to open up that will put a lot of pressure on the rest.
This is how federalism works, thanks be to God and the Founders, in that order.
Go, Georgia!
Well, isn't that generous of Georgia?
Thank you, m'lord.
“We need about ten states to open up that will put a lot of pressure on the rest.”
That is exactly what it’s going to take. Thus far the 26 GOP Governors have wimped out. We need 15 to able to really get it rolling.
Thank you boss government man !!!!
for allowing me to run my little business
That’s mighty white of them.
Kemp is determined to turn Georgia into NY
Why don’t you just hide inside forever? I am ready to get back to my gym and live again.
>>Kemp is determined to turn Georgia into NY<<
Interesting comment.
Elections matter.... what would Ms. Abrams have done?
Cuomo and the other Governors in his coalition will probably stay closed until June 1st. Unless Uncle Donald bails them out, they will bankrupt their States.
My roots are so bad I may have to travel from SC to GA to get my hair done ASAP.
I wonder if youre the type to not finish a course of antibiotics because you started to feel better because thats what the rush to force states open before the virus has peaked there and wained is like. What happens when a person doesnt finish the antibiotics? It gives the bacteria an opportunity to become resistant and makes it harder to treat causing more suffering in the long run.
You might think we shouldve been cowboy and just rode it out, millions of lives be damned, but your liberty doesnt give you the right to infringe on the right to life of your countrymen.
Absolutely some officials have gone too far and should reap the consequences at the ballot box but Georgia was too slow to act (come on, theyd just learned about asymptotic spread!? Bull) and now is trying to open up because Kemp and his public health official appear incapable of handling this situation in a reasoned manner. Watching the people here, their unwillingness to stay the hell home or social distance, I will be quite surprised if we dont see a rise in new cases.
Kemp was cavalier, more worried about offending rural communities with decisive action than the health of Georgians. He should follow closely the guidance laid out by Trumps task force. It sounds like hes showing the same poor judgment in this crisis that he showed appointing Kelly Loeffler.
As an essential worker I am not happy with Kemps performance or the lackadaisical non compliance of too many that lead to more Georgia deaths. I think Kemps ignorance could put Georgia in play in November.
On behalf of ye betters in Atlanta, ye be welcome.
It is a beginning and will pick up speed
This pattern does NOT fit the criterial Trump's laid out.
