grey-whiskers — I too have grey whiskers, a function of the fact that I’m so old that it didn’t even dawn on me that it would be wrong to put a child in a room bounded by reading, writing, ‘rithmetic and the bible. But you are certainly right: Harvard Law School does (claim to) think exactly that.

None of our kids were home schooled, but all of them spent their school days in rooms with those four walls. I shudder to think what impoverished understandings of the world they would have if they hadn’t.
