Texas Gov. Greg Abbott discussed reopening the Lone Star state up for business during an online church service from Dallas on Sunday, the same service President Trump had tweeted he would be watching.

Jack Graham, the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, spoke remotely to the Republican governor about opening businesses and churches following the coronavirus-related shutdowns.

"Texas wants to lead the way in opening our state back up," Abbott said, adding that the state will have a phase-in plan that will be fully developed by May.

This is how I conceptualize the way to thread the needle between the pandemic and economic recovery.

People need to think positive. Negative people LOVE to drag folks down with them.

This economy will be fine. A few bumps along the way, but when everything opens back up, people will be flooding to entertainment venues, restaurants, pubs and so forth.

Retail comes back on line and they'll not be able to keep up with demand in the short term. Manufacturing will surge to refresh and meet demand.

The trillions sitting outside the stock market will begin to flood back into the markets...then the RE-ELECTION of DJT!

The markets will love this as he is so pro-business and we will see prior highs once again.

-Or- We can all sit around and lament, spew constant negativity. Whoa always me. The economy is collapsing. The government is coming, Marshall law, Alex Jones was right...head for the hills.

America will be even stronger...why? Cuzz Americans now see that China is NOT our friend. National security policy will be drawn up to shore up our economy in the event this ever happens again. We will build a strong national supply chain for thousands of products needed in case of an emergency.

Some of what has transpired is actually very positive for America and American citizens.

My hope...a flood of manufacturing comes back from China to American soil and put people back to work. Remember, Walmart / Amazon are the two largest employers in the U.S.. Scary if ya think bout it.

Great! I agree with you. Another bright spot is that the control freak dem governors and city managers are showing their true colors and even the dem voters are realizing what they are. The overboard closing of beaches and trails in California is not a good look for these freaks.

I HATE reporters, even FOX reporters
They have ninja skills to take ignorance and obnoxious to levels that even NASA and the Hubble Telescope cannot image

Texas wants to lead the way in opening our state back up, Abbott said...

= = =

What???

That, hopefully, is a misprint. Doesn’t even make sense.

Dear Governor Abbott,

PLEASE reopen all the little “Mom & Pop” restaurants in San Antonio, NOW before the rest of them go broke forever.
(While you are at it, call/tell our IDIOT Mayor to “go pound sand”.)

SEVEN of EIGHT of our family’s favorite local places for “Tex-Mex” & Chinese food are GONE FOREVER over the last 15 days. = IF this “virus panic” goes on much longer, there will be NO family-owned places left.

Yours, TMN78247
