I assure you it would not. This is a contagious virus widespread in the general population. Those who are going to get it will get it. The lockdown has done nothing except trash the economy and people’s livlihoods
We know flu comes every year, but it's impossible to predict a really bad year until you are in the middle of it and then it's really too late. Because it's already peaking.
We're half way to the death count of the worst flu season in 40 years with as lock down. It would have been far worse without a lockdown.
If you move the car off the train track and then the train doesn't hit you, do you say, we shouldn't have move the car, because the train didn't hit us?

If I’m not mistaken, that’s roughly how many Americans die of all causes in a given year.
I keep expecting a change in attitude as the death toll mounts. It’s now over 40,000.

The categorizing is based on whether the person would have presented and died in the hospital if not for the virus THIS time.
The virus attacks all organs. It is not an influenza virus. You die from “the virus”, you die from an organ failure.
Using your logic, everyone dies from lack of oxygen to the brain—because that is what technically kills everyone.
Plus, you realize that the estimation of the flu deaths every year follows the exact same rules of categorization—except they assign EVERY pneumonia death during flu season to the flu.
The issue is you probably never paid attention to deaths and how they were categorized. Educate yourself. It will save you from making incorrect statements in public.
Just because the reality of the world does not fit your view of how it should operate, doesn’t mean the rest of the world is wrong.
Follow common sense measures. avoid crowds and overtly sock people. Wash you hands. Eat and sleep well and maintain your general health as best you can. Exercise regularly if you can. Live fearlessly and trust God for the rest

So we all get this in the end. it is not the “flu” it is a xxxxx bio weapon. the PTB know it and we got 3 years til 80% of the world is depopulated. the stay at home order is pretty much world wide, if that tells anyone what the real threat is. that is my theory.

The ONLY thing I cannot do that I usually do is go to the movies. Which was fun, but not a huge part of my life.
Sure: Wash hands, practice good hygiene, optimize treatment of comorbidities. Close contacts should not visit if sick. The same thing for literally every other virus.
We don’t know and will never know the actual toll from flu this year because they combined all of them together and attributed them to Corona.
This time next year it will be forgotten almost completely unless they find a way to morph it into the next covert 22 or whatever.

CDC says that there were 12,469 deaths in the US due to H1N1. We are 3.5 times past that.
That's a world wide estimate your quoting. And worldwide we have 165,000 CV deaths plus what ever China and Iran are failing to report. So we are already there.
