They concluded that “all identified outbreaks of three or more cases occurred in an indoor environment, which confirms that sharing indoor space is a major SARS-CoV-2 infection risk.”

On Tuesday, leading German virologist Hendrik Streeck, director of the Institute of Virology and HIV Research at the University Bonn, said, “There is no significant risk of catching the disease when you go shopping.” He is involved in major studies for the German government and noted that “staying inside for a longer time can lead to weakening of our immune system.” He warned we must “make sure that decisions are taken based on facts rather than assumptions.”

A study last month from Taiwan’s CDC tracing 1,043 contacts of 32 COVID-19 patients found that not a single transmission occurred outside those in their households or families.

Then how did somebody get infected to bring it into the family household?

“...sharing indoor space is a major SARS-CoV-2 infection risk.”
vs.
“There is no significant risk of catching the disease when you go shopping.”

“Somebody had to get it from outside the family.”

Yes, if that were true, only one family would have been infected.

Everything the Libs are about leads to destruction. Globalism, mass transit, stupid policies like getting rid of disposable plastic bags etc. I guess breathing fresh high altitude western air ain’t bad. Lots of sun. Yeah baby. Come and get me.

Look at California. Relatively good numbers. Most people drive their own cars in California. However in New York City, horrible numbers, and most ride the subway, packed in like sardines, with infected people coughing on you.

He is involved in major studies for the German government and noted that “staying inside for a longer time can lead to weakening of our immune system.”

If you are cooped up indoors, your Vitamin D levels will go down impairing your immune system. With no exercise, you will get less sleep; research has shown there is a marked increase of influenza infections for those getting less than 7 hours of sleep per night as opposed to those getting 7 - 9 hours. Unfortunately, I rarely get more than 6 hours; a really good night is 7 hours. If I vigorously exercise a few hours before bed, I can hit 8 hours, but that requires a good 75 to 90 minutes of workout.

MedCram had a great lecture on the benefits of sleep boosting your immune system. See Coronavirus Epidemic Update 16: Strengthening Your Immune Response to Viral Infections, Feb 12, 2020. He gets into the molecular biology and roles of various cells in your immune system and explains how sleep activates them. Dr. Seheult says it is:

  1. Not a drug
  2. Free
  3. Do it anywhere
  4. Absolutely no side-effects

ide the subway, packed in like sardines, with infected people coughing on you.

Yup.
Almost all New York coronavirus infections snd deaths came AFTER the lockdowns when most New Yorkers had already been exposed to it in the packed subways, Chinese New Year parades etc. Ergo, most of the infections came in homes or in the grocery stores after the lockdowns

California and the “fly over country” are also single unit dwellers , one family per house. In NYC they are cave dwellers sharing a community building, air supply and common physical contact space.

Perhaps inviting people over to spend the night or having a date and then going to visit your parents for a weekend.

All such laisons are intimate; close friends, extended family eating together or friends watching a movie in an enclosed space or even just making out.

Welcome to the beginning of generation EC: Epidemiology-Contagion.
