Not for me. I use chrome, and I spend over half the day on Free Republic,
‘shopping for trouble’.

Remove the “s” in “https” and you’ll be fine.

Earlier tonight I was blocked by Google. A message said that Free Republics certificate had expired and could not be verified as a safe site. I was able to click through the warnings and eventually get to Free Republic.
Im not a techie but I dont think Google is intentionally blocking Free Republic.

Hope you figure it out, and hope other FReepers help.
For all snarkers: There is no need to ridicule our FReeper brothers and sisters...it’s not like we don’t know there are enemies out there, and when something weird happens the mind can wonder if something else/nefarious is going on.

Finally got back in after a long absence. The same thing happened to me using my Firefox browser for iPhone 8 Plus less than an hour ago. I got a warning but was given the option to proceed which I decided to risk.
Sometimes I have to try my Safari browser to get around problems and when that doesnt work, well you know the expression.

I clicked for advanced, then proceeded to FR knowing full well the “certificate” has expired and I am exposed to extreme risk.

I'm getting a certification blocked message from Microsoft's browser. Then this comes up:
This site is not secure

Sounds like someone's trying to mess with us again.
