You must not be listening carefully. Dr. Birx’ and the Admiral’s discussion about our testing capacity, methods, and goals, was very useful.
Camps, daycare, relatives, and in general a lot of stuff not consistent with social distancing.
Trump said “I am not happy with China.” They did not report what they knew.
I appreciate what Dr. Fauci just said. **His** role is specifically on what would be best for public health and safety. So his recommendations have been focused on that, on what would be ideal. But that is not the whole story. The President’s Task Force takes into consideration other factors, e.g., economic impact. I appreciate Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, for their knowledge and input.
Send them to summer camp or daycare, except its not summer yet and the daycares are closed.
Trump really screwed up his answer answer since he knows states such as Texas (my state) announced the schools will remain closed until the fall.
This is affecting my family, you can't work from home and take care of your kids well at the same time and do a proper job at both.
P.S. Before flaming me on this, check my posts and you will see I am and will continue to be a Trump supporter, but this an obvious problem which should have been considered befor the shutdown ...
Not sure I understand why President Trump is talking down Sweden in code at the end. Sweden is doing it right.

And what’s up with the praise for the Constitution ignorant governor of New Jersey? Shutting down parks for no good reason.
I’m a little disappointed by what I just saw.
I researched this. From lot of articles yes this research was going on for many years even under Obama. In October 2014, following a series of federal laboratory mishaps that narrowly missed releasing these deadly engineered viruses, President Obama ordered the halt to all federal funding for Fauci’s dangerous experiments.
Then it looks in Dec 2017 the NIHS started it up again. Obama temporary ban on gain of function studies , was shortly lifted in 2016, and only applied to new studies but did not apply to study’s whose funding was approved and already in proceed (grandfathered).

So it was lifted under Trump admin and I doubt if he knows this happened. How did it happen?
It was halted under Obama in 2014 and then miraculously somehow started back up in December 2017. Does the President even know this? I had to research the time line and discovered this:
Yes I find it useful and so glad that if I have to be tested don’t need the 12 inch swab going up my nose that I hear is painful.
I love charts, I am visual learner. I found it informative about the types of tests, the location of the labs all over USA, etc.

In the situation I grew up it wouldn't be a problem, only my father worked outside the home. I kind of laugh at people's panic because growing up the five of us naturally social distanced, spending most time in our own chosen parts of the home. Except for dinner.
I don't really work from home anymore but used to to look after family. Throughout this epidemic I've been going to work as normal and worried about every uncovered hacking cough in my vicinity and far too many short-tempered people.
I'm sure people will have to figure out models where social distancing can be maintained but people who have to go back to work during a 9-5 and aren't able to shift their workday opposite their spouses' to make sure there's child care. But people were doing these things already. Some will just have to rethink the situation.
I wonder how long it will take before reporters research and report what the President said about being under Obama?
Heads should roll on the lifting of the research again. I really don’t think the President knows this.
Fauci knows. He says nothing. Remember Fauci in 2017 saying there will be a pandemic outbreak under Trump? Then the research is lifted and funded with 3.7M to go overseas to China to do the research?
From the way Trump answered he did not know!
Supposedly the lab in China was trying to show they were as good as the USA in this research area and if protocols weren't following maybe a researcher became patient zero.
Trump mentioned claims there were no bats at the local wet markets supposedly at the center of the outbreak. Some say it came from bats but was circulating among Pangolins (scaly ant eaters) which were likely at that wet markets but I don't think we can be sure of those claims coming from Chinese sources.
Since China's reopened the wet markets which gave us SARS and (they claim) Covid-19, we're back to the time bomb situation described by the University of Hong Kong in a 2007 paper.

Fauci is apparently a supply chain expert.
If China refuses to clean up their act regarding wet markets and lab procedures, well we should launch sanctions against them.
