Colleges across the US have kicked residential students out of their dorms in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. But for 19-year-old John, who is transgender and gay, losing student housing has left him with a difficult choice: Go back into the closet or be forced to live on the streets.
John, who did not want his name used in fear for his safety, said he is now stuck in a rural Kansas town where he continuously gets death threats for his gender and sexual identity. His parents, who he said are aware of the threats, refuse to use the name and pronouns he goes by, and regularly threaten to kick him out if he doesn't hide his gender identity and sexual orientation.
When they suspected him of being transgender a few years prior, he said they forced him to go to church. They do not want his gender identity to be public because it puts their jobs at risk, he said.
John said he was able to come out and find support when he was away at college, but now that he has had to return to his hometown, the only support system he has is friends who are many miles away and a therapist he has to have whispered conversations with.
Hundreds of colleges have switched to remote learning and are limiting people on campus to reduce the spread of coronavirus, which has infected more than 653,800 people in the U.S. But for many of the thousands of LGBTQ college students in the U.S., "home is not a safe place," says Chinyere Ezie, a staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights.
"With all of the closures that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic, you have fewer resources than ever for transgender and LGBT students."

It is a cold cruel world out there....especially when you are brainwashed to be a kook.
First, unconditional love is a myth.
Second, this young person should consider that their parents are showing love in that they are concerned for his life. The incidence for suicide in post sex change patients is much higher.
Third, sex change operations do not change your sex, they mutilate your body. The hormonal therapy sickens your body
Perhaps your parents are displaying tough love.
It’s kind of neat. Career-driven parents who didn’t have time for their kids now get to see the results of their dollar-chase, up close and personal.

Ummm... exactly what do these permanent victims do after graduation? How are they suddenly safe, with a BA in Theater, after 4 years of Safe Spaces?
Liberals have institutional power. You cannot become a social worker, public school teacher or psychologist now unless you agree with social justice. It is built into the ethical code, the disposition training and qualifications for grad school.
This means the kid almost cannot find a psychologist who will do anything OTHER THAN endorse the delusion. And those who disagree will still go along in many states or risk losing their license.

Interesting - he’s hiding his ‘secret’, yet still getting death threats. Are the threats from his parents, since they’re the only ones in town who know his ‘secret’?
She denies being a she but remains sexually attracted to men.
I’ve observed this with transgender “women”. Three quarters or so of the “transgenders” are men, more than two thirds of whom keep the plumbing. AND most of them identify as lesbians ... because they’re attracted to women.
That’s why lesbian TERFs are so hated by the “transgender” movement. The biggest conflict is biologically intact dudes in dresses identifying as lesbians and bullying the women attracted to women into having sex/accepting/endorsing them.
This is just the opposite case - a woman who identifies as a man who wants to sleep with men.
And then she creates a hateful, stereotype-laden narrative. I’m from the backward small town where they hate me, they’ll lynch me, you have to give me what I want or I’ll literally die!
