Can’t those teams actively seek other cities to move to? I know it’s happened in the past, but I don’t know what kind of negotiations have to take place to make it happen. What kind of hold does a city have on a particular team? I know they’ve built stadiums for certain teams, which makes me think they have a contract of some kind to keep them there, but I’m assuming those contracts only last a certain period of time, and have to be renegotiated.

I agree with you. I just am hopeful to go to Disneyland soon, but the majority’s desire for sports is going to ultimately end all these Dem governor shutdowns. Perhaps the young male “backwards cap wearers” who rarely vote will finally go vote their own interests.
Governors can and will be voted out of office by sports fans, of which there are many.
He doesn’t mean they will not be playing.
He means that teams like the Dodgers are not considered major league.
They can play in Carson, Inglewood, Anaheim. LA is not as essential as it thinks.
