I am part of a new church plant here in Glastonbury. It is part of the Southern Baptist movement and started by a couple from San Diego and the Calvary Chapel movement.
He is a young Pastor and uses all the latest technology. Our internet service has been great but miss the physical contact. My sons in Virginia and the other part of eh state tune in so we are going to church together.
I remember way back at Jesus People time, when the media showed those crazy long haired, hippy Christians.
Little did they think they were helping to launch a revival.
Same thing now: virtual outreach and non-standard outreach could go through the roof.
Ive been hooked up with two Calvary Chapels. My home church in Corona and my away from home church in Lahaina Maui. Theyve both been operating for about 26 years. They are both exclusively online right now. Its ok, but not the same at all. I miss the fellowship in Corona and the beach services with the turtles in the background on Maui.
Hopefully this wont last much longer.
