Grocery workers is an exceptionally large population. I’m not convinced the infection was a hazard of the job.
Of course we don't know how many are calling in sick to avoid it. But it's got to be a hazard of the job.
So when they all call in sick. .......the stores close. ....
This is an idea worth looking into. No one interacts with more people - while having minimal protection - than does a grocery worker.
the union estimates.”
The left is going to use this to destroy this country. Now they are demanding no restart until there are no more cases.
More fearporn for the sheeple
Oh no! In two weeks all of our grocery stores are going to be overwhelmed!
No but workers need protection. Don't exaggerate everything.
Hydroxychloroquine should be provided at first signs, we now have quite a bit.
In the US we have 86 deaths per million from Covid.
They SHOULD have about 215 deaths by now!
Is America finally getting wise to the scandalous selling out of this country and its citizen’s very lives to China by its corporate and politcal class?
IMO the reason we were told not to use masks was because we did not keep a store of masks and othe PPE.
Sounds like a union grab to me.
Lawyers are licking their chops.
At least seventy two thousand motorcyclists were killed by gravel on the roads in 2018.
Just as made up, but not more made up.

I agree. I think grocery store workers over 60 and others at increased risk should be able to stay home without fear of losing their jobs. The rest should have n95 masks and anyone coming into the grocery store should have a mask on.
This statistic is complete nonsense. The current rate of infection in the U.S. per 1M people is approximately 2K. There are 2.7M supermarket workers in America. So one would expect approximately 5.5K infections. Given that the risk could be higher because they are dealing with the public, it is not 6x higher. And factoring in that a significant percentage of the 2.7M work in states that have had little impact to the virus, the number becomes even more ridiculous.
Grocery store clerks are exposed to the gamut of the human parade. This puts them and their families into worry not just about the virus for themselves, but more concern over bringing something home. It further distances them from loved ones moreso than the average person.
True. And where are the two places that someone is going to go when they are sick, unless they have someone to go for them? Grocery store and drug store.
