That’s great. I didn’t. SS recipients are supposed to get them “shortly.” I’ll go ahead and tell my creditors I can pay them “shortly,” (whenever TF that is) and see what they say. SMDH.

“”SS recipients are supposed to get them “shortly.””

I still want to know WHY SS recipients are getting them at all. Are we unemployed? Have our SS benefits changed since the shutdown? Aren’t we still getting our monthly benefit amounts in our bank accounts?

Those who have investments to be sure have noticed a dip but come on - send checks out that aren’t necessary to make someone feel good namely those making the decisions?

Didn’t anyone think this through? Why on earth should our children and our grandchildren have this amount of debt piled on the already existing one they’ll never see the end of (I approve the preposition)….

Wasn’t it put in place for the UNEMPLOYED to supplement unemployment claims? The unemployment claims are also being paid out of our pocket - federal funds (employer pays FUTA) - in addition to state funds. Looks to me like brains took a vacation in DC..
