If there is one benefit from the pandemic, it is that the establishment news media which is overwhelmingly liberal and loathes President Trump and his 60 million voters has finally done something counterintuitive.
They consulted an old document long forgotten: the Constitution... now embrace federalism.
Members of the Washington Democratic Media Complex have insisted that Trump was a dictator. Yet when the coronavirus hit, werent these TV show ponies whimpering that he wasnt enough of a dictator?
Trump rolled clips of cable news pundits dismissing the threat early on. Some networks cut away with great shrieking and pearl clutching.
Many local officials of both political parties... use a heavy hand, issuing edicts and executive orders without benefit of laws written by state legislatures.
In the Michigan of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer the poster child of capricious authoritarian rule you cant buy tomato plants for your garden. You may float a sailboat or kayak, but if a laid-off auto worker dares take his motorized bass boat out for some solitary fishing, he is in violation.
Whitmers bitter whimsies have triggered statewide protests.
An American mayor criminalized the communal celebration of Easter. That sentence is one that this Court never expected to see outside the pages of a dystopian novel, or perhaps the pages of The Onion.
In Illinois, Gov. J.B. Pritzker remains busy, ripping on the White House, reinforced by supportive media, worrying about his badly mismanaged states lack of a rainy day fund and downplaying questions about a poll worker in the March 17 primary which Pritzker had insisted on holding who later tested positive for coronavirus and died.
Unfortunately Pritzkers spent much time posing for cameras and less time getting his state government in order. Illinois is unprepared to handle its unemployment claims.

If nothing else, the media is very adept at changing their position in a millisecond.
At the beginning of the Trump Press Conference on Monday they were complaining that Trump did not use his Presidential Powers to shut down the USA earlier.
At the end of Trump’s Press Conference the media was complaining that the President had no powers to open up the USA.
The media are psychos. They truly have major mental diseases. I cannot imagine what the professors in the various journalism schools are like. Acorns do not fall far from an oak tree.
They consulted an old document long forgotten: the Constitution... now embrace federalism.

Absolute nonsense.
No you don’t get it. He can close it. He just can’t open it.
Shutting down the economy is stupid without knowing the FATALITIES AS A PERCENTAGE OF THE INFECTION RATE.
We need more ANTIBODY STUDIES ASAP!!!
A 1000 person German antibody study by the University of Bonn resulted in a death rate of those infected at 0.37% and a CV infection rate at 15%. The Diamond Princess had an infection rate of 17%.
CV appears to be MORE CONTAGIOUS and LESS LETHAL than we thought.
If this is correct, the US economy should be reopened NOW, all schools reopened, protect the elderly with preexisting conditions and stop this MEDIA DRIVEN PANIC & NONSENSE.
You think President Trump said he could open the country just to get this reaction?
While claiming it's *always* been their position. "We've always been at war with Eastasia; Eurasia is our ally,"
Only because of TDS. No other reason.
Yes. But not only did he say he could open the country, he declared very LOUDLY via tweet...it was like an order. This had a reaction; the reaction that he wanted. Now he has the governors cooperating.
Trump knows how to get people to do what he wants. Did u notice how he managed to shut that Playboy reporter up yesterday. Our president is so cool.
My take
“No you dont get it. He can close it. He just cant open it.”
It’s like executive orders. Obama’s may be illegal but they can’t be challenged. And, if Trump reverses them, it’s unconstitutional.
