Clearly Trump is not pleased with Fauci doing a thousand daily interviews and messing up the messaging. His comments at yesterday's presser were revealing.
Trump again baited Fauci into taking to the podium and admitting that “Yes I am the one who told the President to shut the country down, and he listened to me”.
He now owns this. Trump can either be magnanimous and go along with the cover story that the recommendation worked, or he can hang him out to dry. If Dr. Tony wants to live out what’s left of his life in anything resembling peace he’ll play along.
