You need to be realistic.

The flu kills around 40-50K a year, on average, with little mitigation, sure some people do get the vaccine, and it is not all that effective, some say 20-30% some say higher, whatever. But people still went to work sick, nobody was washing their hands all the time so the thing spreads and 10s of millions of people get that thing and about 40-50 million die from it (on average).

Coronavirus is more deadly however we have no vaccine at this point, sure we do have Hyrochloroquine, it does help and has helped a lot. But we don’t know the long term effects of this virus, we don’t know the total damage (payload) of it either. Some people end up with severely damaged heart and lung tissues. This is way more severe then the flu. We have mitigated this through common sense social distancing, eliminated gatherings, shut down restaurants, bars, etc. People working from home, constant hand washing, even wearing masks out in public. Right now we are at 20K deaths and 100’s of thousands infected.

Could you imagine what those numbers would be if we did absolutely nothing?

Could you imagine what the flu numbers would be if we did what we did for Coronavirus for the flu? We would probably have less then a 100 deaths a year from the flu and infections in 10’s of thousands.

Think about it, we can’t compare the flu deaths, with near zero mitigation other then a vaccine that may or may not work with a coronavirus where we did a country wide mitigation. Saying the coronavirus is just the flu is totally misleading and ignorant.

Back trace it to hidden chinese spies. Ones who have the money to back key important people, political parties and businesses.

This all starts with the false premise that had we done nothing everything would have been ok.

False strawman. There are other options other than doing nothing or shutting the entire economy down. We could have had a targeted approach in much of the same way that China used when it shut down Hubei province and Wuhan. China did not shut down the entire country.

If the re-opening goes well, the media/dem complex will just switch gears and say he didn’t open it up soon enough. If it looks like the whole lockdown was a vast overreaction they will blame him for the overreaction. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.

Blame will not stick. To err on the side of life and saving lives is the excuse.

Maybe law suits against China. That’s about it.

Who will get blamed for all the times people have claimed that projections before a lock down were “downgraded”, when in fact they are comparing a projection of no lock down to a projection after a lock down.

The original projection still stands, we just didn’t take that path.

Who will hold freepers that push this MSM story that the Trump admin got their projections wrong accountable?

“turns out to be”? That question has already been answered. Trump will get the blame, of course. Watch the dem/media turn on a dime from Trump waited and didn’t do enough to he jumped the gun and killed the Obama economy with HIS unnecessary shutdown. Regardless of what the new narrative will be, it will be Trump’s fault.

Some point out that over time, a year or more, the same number of people will die from this, mitigation or no mitigation. That the mitigation was done to “flatten the curve” and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed.

Ok, that’s been done, hospitals in MOST of the nation are doing fine.

Open everything up and quit killing the average person with no income......

I guarantee you the Left will blame Trump, but the blame resides with Fauci, Birx, and other government overpaid people who overreacted. Governors too.

The MSM and the Democrats (sorry, I repeated myself there) will blame Trump but it will hard to make it stick with Main Street America. If they had shame, they would realize that it is hard to criticize someone for over-reaction when they begrudgingly agreed with his actions or criticized him for not taking harsher actions.

Viruses are invisible and unpredictable. Doctors and health professionals operate on statistical likelihood.

In the end there was a lock down, and no doubt an overreaction. But they’re guessing; it’s foolish to expect 100% accuracy.

Now it is time to remove the lock down. This is the time where the fools are exposed.

Trump laid it at Fauci and Birx feet, early on, at a presser. For sure it's in the Archives and ready to post... Now cooking the books on the numbers to make it look necessary to have done this shutdown ~ Birx clarified the New Way to mark WuFlu If you'll remember, very early in the situation, SHE was the one who brought up the very same antics in Italy, that we should not trust their numbers !!!😡😡😡

Move and get welded into your house. Yes. That is one kind of targeted approach. You could even take the targeted approach of the Norks.

Nobody. Because of how this works any evidence that says “overreaction” also says “our measures worked”. And that’s the message that will sell. And we will move on.
