aids pandemic couldn’t get them to shut down the orgy. It's true. From a public health standpoint, closing down the S.F. bathhouses was a no-brainer, back when being HIV+ was a death sentence. Yet there was plenty of pushback from the gay community.
Interesting set of priorities.
