And no, not that one! The other one.
LOL!
I post some on there. I run Florida Lacrosse News and know a number of people connected there.
Interesting how Florida is growing the sport. My daughter played her College ball at Ave Maria in Naples. In traveling to Naples I saw the lacrosse goals at Barron Collier HS, which produced a great womens player (Ferucci).
Johns Hopkins is to lacrosse what Notre Dame is to football. Lacrosse is the only Division I sport at JHU; so far as I know, all their other teams play in Division III. JHU is a perennial power in the sport, but as other schools have teams and pour money into them (Ohio State plays their games in the Horseshoe), JHU’s dominance is a thing of the past. The Lacrosse Hall of Fame is located in a building at one end of Homewood Field, JHU’s lacrosse stadium, in the northern part of Baltimore.
I lived in Maryland for 30 years, and lacrosse, both men’s and women’s, is probably the most popular scholastic sport in the state.
Bill Belichick grew up in Annapolis and was on the Annapolis High School lacrosse team; he went to college at Wesleyan in Middletown, Connecticut, which is a lacrosse-playing school.
Olivia was fantastic. Nearly single-handedly knocked off the Vero dynasty in a Final Four game. I was watching her game in her freshman year against Northwestern when she wrecked her knee. Came so close to winning the D1 Women’s semifinal game in 2019 in OT but the goalie made an unreal save.
We try to post the Ave Maria press releases but they are very shorthanded in their Sports Admin. The best thing that happened to Florida was all the coaches from the Northeast that came down. Pietramala’s predecessor, Tony Seamen, coaches the St. Andrew’s HS program in Boca Raton.
And on the girl’s side we have both American Heritage-Delray with Caitlyn Wurzburger and Lake Highland Prep (former McDonogh HC Chris Robinson now runs that), both Top 10 teams nationally in the aborted season.
We did get half our HS season in before everything shut down but damn I miss it.
Yeah, I missed on that. That son did have lacrosse coaching in his past.

You were gracious in your reply since my post was a little snarky for no good reason. Sorry about that.
Ave just changed coaches. Tough place to coach because they have no budget for an assistant coach.
My youngest daughter (HS junior in MIAA) played 3 games and the season was cancelled. We are not sure what the club teams or tournaments are going to do. She was invited on to the FCA national team at Lake Placid but who knows if Cuomo will shut all that down in August.
I think she’s actually the 3rd coach in the 4 years. Talk about a tough place to recruit to . . . MIDDLE of NOWHERE. Visited there almost by accident coming back from Sarasota one weekend, wanting to see Immokalee since I’m close to the HS coach there.
Talk about miracles! Building a lacrosse program at Immokalee is just as good as that 30 For 30 on the Charlotte kids.
