The only way to prevent a second wave is to stay shutdown till 90% of the population is immune.
The only way to do that while staying shutdown is with a vaccine.
There will never be a vaccine because we still have a vaccine for the common flu. The flu shot available for the common flu is not a vaccine or a cure. Rather it can only mitigate the chances of you contracting the flu or the effects if you contract it. Millions of people who get a flu shot still contract the flu every year and many of them are hospitalized or die.
So if they cannot cure the common flu, what makes anybody think they can cure COVID-19? And if by some miracle they do create a cure how long will that take? 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20 years? And how long are you willing to sit inside your cage, er, home under lockdown?
I have an idea. Stay shut down until everyone now alive dies naturally. That’s the ticket!
