CNN producer-turned media watchdog Steve Krakauer described his former colleague, CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, as a fame-seeking attention-getter who is “actively helping Trump get re-elected” while making the press look bad.
“I don't think CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta is a bad guy. I worked with him at CNN, and he was a solid, competent reporter. If Acosta's goal was to be a great White House reporter, he could probably do it,” Krakauer wrote. “But that's not Jim Acosta's goal. Jim Acosta wants to be famous.”
Krakauer’s media newsletter, Fourth Watch, has gained popularity for holding the press accountable, and Sunday’s edition began with the detailed critique of Acosta.
“Acosta clearly aspires to use this opportunity to spar with President Trump, #Resistance Signal on Twitter and generally build his brand to move on to bigger things - a prime time show maybe, or at least a few late night TV appearances,” Krakauer wrote before pointing out the CNN reporter’s past Twitter profile background image that featured a picture of his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
“Jim Acosta loves nothing more than Jim Acosta,” Krakauer wrote. “I've also half-joked that if we found out, years from now, that Acosta was actually a plant and was secretly working for the Trump re-election campaign, I wouldn't be shocked.”

The Lying Leftist Media doesn’t need Jim Acosta’s help to look bad.
Yeah that White House press room has always been filled with asshats. Back in the day Dan Rather and Sam Donaldson comes to mind. Acosta makes it really, really obvious for all to see though.
The best part of that scumbag wound up as a stain on a cheap mattress.

Acosta shows us what most in the press have in their hearts. He wears his heart on his sleeve.
“Gotcha” jim acosta has a degree in mass communications from James Madison. That was a field most got into because they couldn’t pass more difficult programs.
I call him GOTCHA because his goal is to make a career off of one GOTCHA QUESTION. I wish Trump would call him GOTCHA JIM and explain why.
Acosta? He's a minor pipsqueak. The "press" does a terrific job of making itself look bad. Acosta has little to do with it.
When the US press degenerated into a political hack propaganda machine, instead of the voice of TRUTH whose mission is to inform people truthfully, dedicated to TRUTH for its own sake--the "press" became bad. Appearances are merely the result.

Nearly every question to President Trump is not about news reporting, it’s about little Jimmy trying to trip Trump up.
“Bad” is the incorrect adverb. “Worse”would have been the better word.

Well,they are.
Acosta is not a journalist. He has no desire to draw out information from Trump and only seeks to prove his point that “orange man bad”. He makes declarative statements followed by leading questions hoping to make news, not break news.
CNN should be embarrassed by him. All journalists should be embarrassed by him.
99% of the media gives the rest of them a bad reputation.
Much of the press was and remains bad. Only a few like OANN and SOME reporters for WSJ and Fox have been consistent in directing questions for the purpose of eliciting actual information useful to the American Public, while most of the rest were only interested in “gotcha” questions, framed in such manner as the lawyer asking the defendant, “Have you stopped beating your wife? Answer Yes or No!”
No statement of exculpation is permitted or accepted.
As usual with the lefty media you have to look at the ‘negative space’ ie what’s not there.
But when an individual reporter gets skewered by Trump the first time there’s a very large pity party for that reporter. Journalism, Trump’s mean, etc. etc.
Acosta has been doing his tired act for so long he no longer gets these fatuous outpourings of grief from his comrades.
It may also signal that they don’t like him much and that would hardly be a surprise.
Gotcha’ Jim.
The left likes to label (Alinsky tatics). Trump needs to label Gotcha’ Jimmy.
