Kashkari began his career as an aerospace engineer at TRW in Redondo Beach, Calif., where he developed technology for NASA space science missions. Following graduate school, he joined Goldman Sachs in San Francisco, where he helped technology companies raise capital and pursue strategic transactions.

From 2006 to 2009, Kashkari served in several senior positions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In 2008, he was confirmed as assistant secretary of the Treasury. In this role, he oversaw the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) during the financial crisis. Kashkari received the Alexander Hamilton Award, the Treasury Department’s highest honor for distinguished service.

Following his tenure in Washington, Kashkari returned to California in 2009 and joined PIMCO as managing director and member of the executive office. He left the firm in 2013 to explore returning to public service and, in 2014, ran for governor of California on a platform focused on economic opportunity.

Raised in Ohio, Kashkari earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

He lives with his wife, Christine, daughter, Uly, and Newfoundland dogs—Winslow, Webster, and Newsome—in Orono, Minn.

It is becoming pretty clear to us that these j@ck@$$es will continue to do their utmost to kneecap the economy under the guise of public safety.

Whether or not they will succeed is an entirely different matter. The governors of South Dakota and Wyoming have already announced that their states are reopening for business because "social distancing" has been part of their culture for years.

Neighboring states will soon be following if they care to preserve what remains of their business infrastructure.

None of which makes him an expert on coronavirus or any other virus or medical condition or when to end the totally stupid shutdowns from coronavirus.

Fauci & Kashkari are two. Who will be a 3rd one?
The economy will boom once we are released from our prisons.

Fauci to USA Today Editorial Board well into the ***THIRD WEEK OF FEBRUARY. neither the Board nor Fauci show concern about the US:

17 Feb updated 18 Feb 2020: USA Today: FAUCI: ‘Danger of getting coronavirus now is just minisculely low’
Q: How confident are you that the Chinese are doing what needs to be done?

FAUCI: They’re doing things that have completely broken the paradigm of how you respond. They have been, in a draconian way, shutting down everything. They have locked down 50 million people, including the entire 11 million-person city of Wuhan. They will not allow anyone into Beijing unless they have a 14-day quarantine. They’re essentially locking people who test positive in their houses. I mean, they’re doing things that are almost unheard of in the annals of public health...

Q: That would never happen here, would it? Locking down 50 million people?

FAUCI: No, not a chance. It would never happen...

Q: How can you protect yourself against both flu and coronavirus?

FAUCI: Do what we tell you to do all the time. Wash your hands as frequently as you can. Stay away from crowded places where people are coughing and sneezing. If, in fact you are coughing and sneezing, cover your cough. All the things that we say each year. That’s the thing we should be doing right now. But the danger of getting coronavirus now is just minisculely low.

THIRD WEEK IN FEBRUARY AGAIN:

12 Apr: NYT: Trump Lashes Out at Fauci Amid Criticism of Slow Virus Response
The president retweeted a post calling for the government’s top infectious disease specialist to be fired after the doctor acknowledged that shutting down the country earlier could have saved lives.
By Peter Baker
By the THIRD WEEK OF FEBRUARY, advisers had drafted a list of measures they believed would soon be necessary, like school closures, sports and concert cancellations and stay-at-home orders, but the president did not embrace them until mid-March.
Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, said on Sunday that earlier imposition of such policies would have made a difference...

(Fauci ON CNN) “Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. But you’re right. Obviously, if we had, right from the very beginning, shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down.”...
Public health experts like Dr. Fauci have urged caution about resuming normal life too soon for fear of instigating another wave of illness and death...

Dr. Fauci has become a celebrated figure among much of the public, which trusts him far more than Mr. Trump, according to polls...

This is actually a good thing.

He just outed himself in a very visible manner.

Now, once the economy takes off quickly, and he is proven VERY wrong, his reputation will be completely damaged for a very long time, because of the visibility of his statement in the current crisis.

In a rather bizarre campaign stunt during his campaign for governor of California, Kashkari spent a week pretending to be homeless.

This Obama plant appointee is a Dem con man who ran against Jerry Brown in 2008 and lost and Obama planted him at the Fed .

Kashkari is the president of the Minneapolis Fed. Federal Reserve Bank presidents are not Presidential appointees. He was hired by the Minneapolis Fed Board of Directors.

I just thought that the sheer number of factual errors in the OP’s comment were worth pointing out in order to assess the credibility of his broader value judgments.

Interesting .
The Federal Reserve has been conducting a War on Trump since day one .
This DC swamp creature trashes the economy
with reckless comments that he knew could sink the
markets today on a Trump hating far left Dem network

I did not see Virologist on his resume .
Lets review his comments during the Obama regime in which he was appointed .

Are you defending his actions here .

You’re posting inaccurate information. We can all have our opinions about the future. Kashkari has his. But we don’t get to choose our own facts.

Kashkari is a lifelong Republican, a good financial market economist, and a more intelligent guy than you are. So stop with the lies and you might get further in life.

The MN Board appoints libs the WH and DC would approve of.

The claim was that he was an Obama appointee. He was not. Now whether or not Obama approved of him, assuming he was even aware of the hiring in the first place, doesn't really matter. He's one bank president out of twelve.
