Taiwan has reportedly scrambled its warships to monitor a Chinese aircraft carrier strike group, as the two US aircraft carriers in the region have been docked by the coronavirus. China's first ever aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, led the group through the Miyako Strait near Japan, the South China Morning Post has reported. The current location and destination of the carrier group is unknown, but Taiwan has sent its own vessels to monitor them.

They're in International Waters which would be an Act Of War on our part!
,,, I’m not for bombing them but the point has to be stated that they have no regard for international waters at all.
And, this is why Commanders are required to safeguard readiness data.
The Liaoning, as a ski-jump carrier, is limited in what it can do: mostly just fleet defense because the planes can only carry small loads including limited fuel due to the lack of assist from a catapult.
That carrier is more dangerous to its operators than to Taiwan.

Instead of a quite docking of effected ships while treating personnel, we now have the chinese deciding to float their blue water navy for the first time.

I thought I read somewhere not long ago that China has only the one of that kind and maybe when they get the many bugs worked out on it that it will be the single most advanced type carrier they have and all the rest of their carriers are not much of a threat to the US or Russian fleets. I doubt that the US has much if any fear of their task forces.
Precisely so. Any ship Captain or Commander that reveals that information for whatever reason is unfit to command.
WTF! We dock two aircraft carriers because of a flu outbreak onboard? All they needed to do was to quarantine the 65 plus year old sailors and the ones with life threatening medical conditions. These are 25 year old sailors, they can’t perform with a cough or sore throat? F’n ridiculous.
