Question: How true is it that in the USA, Lupus patients cannot get Hydroxychlorquine for their condition today?

Anybody knows?

I have not heard of even one bonafide, demonstrable case.

One article I looked at says one patient last week was told by her pharmacist he can’t get any.
Kaiser Permanente is saying there is a worldwide shortage and
telling patients who need it “ Thank you for the sacrifice you will be making for the sake of those that are critically ill; your sacrifice may actually save lifes.”

I can only speak for myself, locally it is impossible to find.

Wife takes it for her RA. I told her to get her script filled ASAP even though she wasn’t out.
I am personal friends with the Pharmacist and have known him 30+ years, worship together at the same church, kids are friends, etc.

His suggestion was to see if the Dr. could prescribe an alternative as he had no idea if or when he would be able to fill for HQC.
