If Castro did it, that would have been an act of war. Not even the USSR could have protected him.

The Soviets regarded JFK as both malleable & useful where he was and expressed deep sorrow at his death. They hated Oswald as an out of control extremist.
So, did LBJ back in 1960, sacrifice his powerful position as Senate majority leader for the powerless post of VP, just so he could hope that “someday that Kennedy boy’s gonna get shot and then I’ll just step right into the Presidency!!”?
Or even more fantastically, LBJ engineers Kennedy’s assassination, with the certainty of never getting caught?

LBJ knew all along the Kennedy’;s didn’t like him. He knew they were younger and more popular nationally. After a couple of years of being ignored and left out of meetings, maybe he decided to take advantage of being the number 1 in the line of succession should the president die. He had had people killed before and had the killer on his payroll at times. Why not kill Kennedy .
The Warren Commission was the instrument of LBJ “never being caught. It was pre-ordained to wrap up Oswald who was dead and had no way to speak. Believe it or not Oswald said on tape he was patsy. That suits my scenario, if not yours. His death precedes him telling of any conspirators or him proving he was in the break room eating lunch and getting a coke when the shots were fired.
How do you explain him working ion that building before the visit was announced and then the route being changed? More circumstantial evidence that others were in solved ins setting Oswald up. A known troublemaker by the FBI. Surely he pulled the trigger.
Castro had the best motive. Kennedy, using Roselli, tried to kill him. I just don’t think Castro wanted that on his plate. He was ignoring the US and wouldn’t want the heat. Perhaps the Russians told him to hold off.
Since Hoover and LBJ conspired for hasty conclusion”to avoid war,” whoever killed Kennedy did both of them favor. Why investigate the mod or anyone else.
