LBJ was only an actor like all politicians.

If tomorrow morning I brought you a carcanoand a whole box of magic bullets and the next morning you went out and addressed what many would consider the top 546 problems in this country then what would change the next day?

The names on the desks.

Each politician would be replaced by the same powers that hired the first set of actors with new actors to represent their ideas.

Who hired LBJ for that role?

I think LBJ was his open power. He cheated his way to the senate and was strong in Texas marrying someone with radio stations. He turned out to be a powerful senator and was ambitious. But iI don’t think anyone owned him. Maybe not even the Hunts, with whom he was friends.
