Sounds more like a copy of the Wasp class than the America class. I don’t think the America has a well deck. Larger hanger decks for the F-35 and Osprey complement. But no hovercraft.

The Russian carriers that China purchased/extorted/borrowed from also had several fires in their years of service. Lots of political back-and-forth/negotiations between Russia-China-Turkey-Ukraine for many years. Fires while in shipyard and re-construction are easy to start, hard to put out, very-very hard to recover from with many months of rework and replacement of cables, electronics, electrical, steel, and piping.
