Coronavirus in New York: A paramedic's diary
BBC ^ | 10/11/2020 | BBC

Posted on 04/11/2020 4:56:44 AM PDT by Zhang Fei

There's only one patient we've seen so far who I feel wasn't Covid-19 and that's because it was a suicide. Imagine: I was there and my brain felt relief. This person's dead and it's a suicide. I felt relief that it was a regular job.

It is now around 11:00 and I've done about six cardiac arrests.

In normal times, a medic gets two or three in a week, maybe. You can have a busy day sometimes, but never this. Never this.

The seventh call gets to me.

We walk in and there's a woman on the floor. I see this woman doing CPR on her mother. She tells me she stopped breathing and had "the symptoms".

I ask "are you the only family here?" She says yes but you guys were here on Thursday and worked on my dad. He had the symptoms as well. He passed away.

She looks numb.

I go back into the other room and hope that the medic will tell me there are signs of life. She looks up and I know the look after 17 years. The medic's eyes say no.

I've had to tell 10 families we couldn't do any more.

It's 21:30 - half an hour to the end of my tour. Another arrest. Same symptoms - fever and cough for days.

We work on him until I have to go and tell my twelfth family that I'm sorry we can't do any more. I've never been so drained and I go back to get ready to go home.

Not one of the 12 people suspected to have died of Covid-19 on Anthony's shift had been tested for coronavirus. As a result, their deaths were not included in the coronavirus death toll in New York last Sunday, which stood at 594.

why does NO ONE care where this virus came from?

who made it?

why?

why was the ACE2 receptor so important to the
virus engineers?

who got the patent?

why was it “dual use” (meaning also for a vaccine)?

Normally, someone with those symptoms would have already been in the hospital, but because of the bed shortage, they are telling people to go home and see if their symptoms get bad.

They wait too long.

NYFD’s EMS unit employs 3000 people. Assuming only half are front-line workers, that’s 1500 people. Let’s say it’s 4 crew members per ambulance. That’s 375 ambulance shifts. This ambulance shift had 12 suspected coronavirus patients who died on a single day, and weren’t tested for coronavirus. How about the other 374 on that day? It’s becoming clear why mass graves are becoming de rigueure in NYC.

Your debates with wastoute, the retired Army neurosurgeon, and other medical professionals like Vermont Lt were pretty amusing.

So they claim. My identity's public. They're still hiding behind their anonymity. So by the way, who are you?

I couldn’t care less about the identities of Freepers I shoot the breeze with, and I’m not about to disclose mine. What I care about is that they know what they’re talking about. And your comical responses to wastoute and Vermont Lt indicate that they have forgotten more about medicine that you will ever learn in an infinite number of lifetimes. I’m humble enough to acknowledge my cognitive limitations. You’re not.

How Many People Have Actually Died From Coronavirus in New York?
The official statistics paint a partial picture and may understate the death toll. Here’s why.

NYT, April 10, 2020

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/10/nyregion/new-york-coronavirus-death-count.html

In the first five days of April, 1,125 people were pronounced dead in their homes or on the street in New York City, more than eight times the deaths recorded during the same period in 2019, according to the Fire Department.

Many of these deaths were probably caused by Covid-19, but were not accounted for in the coronavirus tallies given by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo during his widely watched daily news conferences — statistics that are viewed as key measures of the impact of the outbreak.

On Thursday, Mr. Cuomo said 799 people in New York had died from coronavirus in a single 24-hour period — more than 33 an hour — bringing the state’s total to 7,067.

But epidemiologists, city officials and medical personnel say those numbers are likely to be far below the city’s actual death toll.

The data on deaths of people in their homes or on the street shows that the state’s statistics don’t tell the whole story. Here’s what we know:

Please don’t miss this documentary. Best hour you will spend all week.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bXWGxhd7ic

The first documentary movie on CCP virus,
“Tracking Down the Origin of the Wuhan Coronavirus”

The CCP virus, which originated from China, has rampaged through the world and caused more than 80,000 deaths, infecting at least 1.4 million.

The true number of deaths and infections is unknown due to the underreporting of cases from mainland China.

In the new documentary presented by The Epoch Times and NTD, Epoch Times investigative reporter Joshua Philipp takes an in-depth look at the progression of the pandemic from January to April and leads us on a journey of discovery to bring the truth behind the matter to light.

From the Huanan Seafood Market in Hubei Province to the scandals at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, from long-running experiments on viruses to military takeovers, suspicious activities arise from every corner. Through vigorous investigations and the piecing together of hidden information, the documentary will unearth a more complete understanding of the situation surrounding the rise of this pandemic.

Suspicions uncovered from official reports and publicly available information also sprouted more questions, leading to surprising findings and inquiries.

“not according to CDC guidelines..

they would be added to the death toll.”

That would be true if the patient had hypertension and obesity, two underlying factors with the ChiCom Virus in the hospital.

So no, wrong. Unless a post Morton test is given, it won’t be.
NYC is at 5,000 ChiCom Virus dead.

Spread more ignorance in the midst of it. That’s really nice.

Don’t know what the protocol is in New York, but here in Michigan, Detroit, and Detroit Metro area, we don’t go around telling people their loved one is dead unless they’re decapitated or rigger set in.

We transport to the hospital still working the patient until Doc takes control and tells us to stop or he tries more cardiac drugs that we already pushed.

This is sounding like drama B.S.

This is not business as usual. They are dealing with 8x normal volume with the same number of staff, minus the people sick with the coronavirus. A 23-year Freeper said his NYC resident sister-in-law died, and city employees would not conduct an autopsy to rule out foul play, even though it might be needed for estate-related purposes.
