I remember being stationed in another Asian Nation back in the nineteen sixties, and realizing just how much prejudice towards blacks existed there.

It seems a common trait in the East.

And in the west.

Let’s not suddenly be holier than thou. There are reasons people pre-judge. It’s based on experience, there usually are good reality-based reasons to be prejudiced.

It’s a generalization and the first fall back position when you meet a stranger. After you start interacting with him, you determine whether he fits that generalization or not and you proceed accordingly.

It’s the simplest and most basic trait of human nature. It’s the way we react when we see a big dog. Until you know better you assume he might bite you.
