SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California saw its first daily decrease in intensive care hospitalizations during the coronavirus outbreak, a key indicator of how many health care workers and medical supplies the state needs, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday.

The rate of all virus hospitalizations has slowed this week. Those in the ICU need the highest level of care, and so it was particularly encouraging that the number of patients in those rooms actually dropped 1.9% on Wednesday to 1,132.

Not so fast. We’ve got another stimulus package to pass.

Oh. Right.

Okay. After the next stimulus package passes, End! The! Lockdown!

Unless there's another stimulus package to pass after this one passes.

Wait: the next stimulus package will “bail out” various state and CITY pension funds. Ya see, they care not making any deposits into them plus their ROI is virtually zero so therefore they will not be able to pay.

I have an interesting question that I think should be investigated. Pure conjecture on my part but when looking at the state by state data of C virus confirmed cases and deaths, the state of California and for that matter WA and OR seem to be relatively less effected than other larger states or cities. Why is that? What are they doing different or is it because prior to the current crisis, Hundreds of flights and thousands upon thousands of travelers from China arrived on the west coast on a daily basis. Did the C virus arrive much earlier on the west coast and infected many people there with relatively mild symptoms or that people who got more significant symptoms thought they had annual influenza? There should be increased testing of west coast residents to see how many already have antibodies and were therefore exposed much earlier with no disruption of west coast economy and daily life. If that was the case then what we are going through now may have been unnecessary. I could be completely wrong but I think it involves some investigation.

Never mind my previous post. Just read over at Red State that Stanford Univ. has already begun an investigation as to when the virus first arrived on the west coast.

CA could run Covid-19 antibody tests on those in CA that had ‘the flu’ in November and December.

A high % positive would to me to indicate they actually had Covid-19, no?
