There are three counties in Michigan that have 75%-80% of the cases: Wayne, Oakland and Macomb. All Detroit area. We are just lucky we still have a Republican legislature that has reigned her in a bit. Else we would be shut down through June.
I live on the westside of the state. A friend who is an ER nurse says they have been twiddling their thumbs, not busy at all. She said if they can get through today, they think they will be home free.
We have “Witch-mer” because we did not run a strong GOP candidate last year and the fallout from the lying media’s successful pinning of the Flint water crises on Snyder (previous Governor). That and having pot on the ballot.
Even worse, is the Attorney General elected at the same time. She is a piece of work that makes “Witchmer” look like she is not that bad.
Too bad, because Michigan was doing pretty well before all this.
Yes. Very quiet over here, thankfully. Out great medical facilities have more than meet the needs of the region, and I’m glad they didnt need to be stressed.
But have they done so over the past three weeks? Is the Michigan legislature even meeting to control this petty tyrant's abuses of self-anointed power? Are Michigan courts even in session? That is, as the U.S. Constitution has been effectively suspended in so very many states, are there any checks on the governor's apparent unlimited power; or do people, businesses and institutions remain paralyzed, no longer as much by the Chinese virus, but by their fear of the Chinese virus and, apparently, by their fear of the "all-powerful" Gretchen?
