Vice President Mike Pence's office is barring top public health officials from appearing on CNN, the network reported.
The ban will remain in effect until CNN agrees to carry the daily White House coronavirus briefings in their entirety, instead of breaking away after the president is done speaking, the network said it was told.
The situation reflects a growing unease among news organizations about how much of the hours-long daily briefings should be aired live.

Pence should bar them from Trump’s press conferences. They have both become unbearable.

Logic would say if the doctors are as important as the media claims, they don’t have time to be appearing on news shows. Since their projections have been so wrong, they obviously are incompetent or aren’ t thoroughly checking their work. In either case whatever they are communicating is worthless.
Are you impressed by Dr Birx? She doesn’t strike me as very impressive. Rambles a lot and heavy on bureaucratic jargon and can’t answer a question directly.

Not impressed with either “expert”. Neither has accountability. Neither is being challenged by the media with hard and insightful questions.
Trump’s job is on the line. Life goes on for Faucci and Birx no matter what happens, unless of course they get a bad case of Covid-19. Somehow I doubt either is visiting ICU’s filled with patients. Senior bureaucrats don’t spend time on the front lines.
I have had that same thought as well. If they are such experts in their field they should have very little time to make media appearances, maybe a brief statement during one of trumps press conference is and then either time to Either Eat and rest or be at work handling the coronavirus.
The statistics Pence should be requiring Birx and Faucci to state at every press report. —
1) % of those tested who do not have the virus
2) % of those tested positive with the virus who are being treated at home
3). Flu deaths to date versus last year and versus Covid 19 deaths this year.
If journalists existed Faucci and Birx would be grilled as to why the experience in Los Angeles and San Francisco is so different from New York. Also why the experience is so different in Beijing and Shanghai compared to Wuhan when before Wuhan was quarantined there had to be tens of thousands of infected people from Wuhan traveling to Beijing and Shanghai.

i commented on here at least a week ago that i didnt trust either one. they got used to be on tv and you could tell they loved the lime lite..
and attention... fauci took on a “hey i can do this and ill show my brilliance” a8ttitude ....he is a democrat and we know who dems are.. after our President. .and corrupt people.

Totally correct. Just once I wish she could answer a question without a lot of mumbly jargon that she uses to try to make herself appear knowledgeable. It’s sickening.

“Social Distancing Works!” - Hey, where is the scientific study to prove that? There is none. They are just assuming.
So, anecdotal evidence OK with their sociatal crushing stay at home; but not for a drug that will ultimatly prove to be a lifesaver if taken early. Yet no one calls them out on this double standard.

This could be a setup. Try to catch Fauci or Birx leaking something to CNN so they have grounds to fire them.
These bureaucrats won’t be fired. The are the fall people and the source for the shutdown.
Shortly, Trump will bring other top health officials along to out vote them when it’s time to open up the country.
It has been curious to me why Trump has let Fauci become the face of the shutdown, and now I think I’m trying to get it.
