Listen to your argument for one minute. You're saying that President Trump is trashing the economy because he doesn't wants to please people who think that the virus is dangerous.
You're saying that President Trump really doesn't believe that the virus is dangerous but he's willing to risk his entire Presidency, increase unemployment and crash to stock market to placate what you call fearful people.

Instead of directing our ire at the Chinese government that (it is now clear) deliberately spread their bioweapon around the world, we are squabbling among ourselves. The left blame Trump, the right don’t much like Dr. Fauci (who is obviously a weasel, but that doesn’t make him automatically wrong).
