Listen to your argument for one minute. You're saying that President Trump is trashing the economy because he doesn't wants to please people who think that the virus is dangerous.
You're saying that President Trump really doesn't believe that the virus is dangerous but he's willing to risk his entire Presidency, increase unemployment and crash to stock market to placate what you call fearful people.

The way out is to reopen America NOW. This is not a political issue, it’s a civil rights and economic freedom issue. The government does not have the right to legislate poverty on its citizens.
Trump will be blamed by the media for everything no matter what action he takes. That gives Trump the power and obligation to do the right thing.

If you're a regular listener to the press conferences they've said countless times that the numbers are based on MINIMUM participation by the public when it comes to following the recommendations. In other words, worst case scenario.
But again EVERY day they thank the American public EVERY press conference for following the recommendations.
This, right here is why the Chinese bioweapon is working so well for them.
Instead of directing our ire at the Chinese government that (it is now clear) deliberately spread their bioweapon around the world, we are squabbling among ourselves. The left blame Trump, the right don’t much like Dr. Fauci (who is obviously a weasel, but that doesn’t make him automatically wrong).
This is not a personal attack on either of you, this thread just seemed an apt opportunity to make this observation.

Mark my words: President Trump will have the economy open and roaring long before the election..and he will run on the fact that he and his administration BEAT the virus and BEAT the leftists on the virus. HE will say that every measure he was proposing (immigration reform, borders, less dependence on the rest of the world, America first etc) WOULD have prevented the virus in the first place.
