The first lawsuit over the U.S. government's embattled coronavirus small business loan program was filed in federal court Wednesday by a company that operates a strip club in Michigan. It's the first of what could end up being a series of protracted legal battles over which businesses qualify for the hastily-conceived $349 billion relief effort.
The lawsuit asserts the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Treasury violated the Constitution by barring coronavirus relief loans for businesses that have "live performances of a prurient sexual nature."
Which businesses qualify has evolved since the plans first version. The plan currently states that businesses merely have to certify that current economic uncertainty makes this loan request necessary and dont have to prove a sharp sales decline or the imminent threat of closure.

Hang the lawyers taking these cases.
Well discovery will certainly be interesting...
I don’t like brussels sprouts.
Let’s hang the farmers that grow those, too.
Government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers. Government damn sure doesn’t complain when that business sends in payroll, property and income tax remittances.
NO! Don’t let the Jiggly Room go out of business!

Al Bundy for whichever side that keeps the place open your honor.
nobody is forced to strip or attend a show.
Or snort cocaine.
Actually there are people who are forced to strip but it’s a very small percentage.
so whose lives are being ruined by the strip club??
So San Francisco and Chicago Bath House will not be able to get loans?
A lot of the strippers lives.
Not every one, but a significant number are damaged by the trade.
okay, but they don’t have to be strippers! You even agreed just a small percentage are forced.
“Well discovery will certainly be interesting...”
Hopefully, there won’t be a cover-up.
