Up to 150 members of Saudi Arabias royal family have contracted the coronavirus, a person close to the family told the New York Times.
Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulziz al Saud, a nephew of King Salman, was confirmed to have tested positive by two doctors, according to the Times. Many of the thousands of princes in the family are believed to have brought back the virus after traveling to Europe, the newspaper reported, citing doctors and people close to the family.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and many of his ministers are in isolation on the coast of the Red Sea, while the nations 84-year-old King Salman is also in isolation near the city of Jeddah, according to the newspaper.
The kingdom took numerous precautions in an attempt to stem the spread of the virus even before it officially reported its first case on March 2, including banning pilgrimages to Mecca and Medina, two of the holiest sites in Islam that draw millions of worshippers annually, and placing its major cities under a 24-hour lockdown.
If it is reaching into the family, then it becomes an urgent issue, Kristian Coates Ulrichsen, a professor at Rice University who studies the kingdom, told the Times.

And I’ll bet they are getting top notch treatment.

150 members of the Saudi royal family have coronavirus: report
How many of their goats have coronavirus?
Thousands of princes? I want to be a prince, too.
..........
150 out of thousands leaves many not infected.
Yeah, because who cares about the unwashed masses?
It's only the important people who count.
Tragic.
Probably all using the same goat.
How many of their goats have coronavirus?
Now that is funny!
There are about 6,000 princes in the House of Saud. 150/6000 = 2.50%. Let them eat pork!
Even given the large size of the Saudi Royal finally, this is a lot.
How does one tell a goat from a Saudi woman?
You don’t know?
Neither do I!
Muslims are known to travel to foreign countries to escape strict Muslim law and partake in alcohol and other non-Muslim approved behavior.
Interesting article.
There has been a ongoing struggle within the Saudi Royal Family for years. There is a group led by King Salman that are trying to draw the nation out of its Wahhabi coma. There’s another group that wants the status quo.
So far, King Salman has had the upper hand in these internecine battles. But the balance could shift if Salman dies or becomes incapacitated. The same goes for his allies thru the government, internal security and the armed forces.
I hope they all drown in their own body fluids.

Start looking for that magic lamp!
Someone in the Saudi press outta ask that question : )
“Muslims are known to travel to foreign countries to escape strict Muslim law and partake in alcohol and other non-Muslim approved behavior. “
My wife does horse dressage and there are many Arabs in the hobby. (Bill Gates daughter is marrying a Kuwaiti dressage rider)
My wife says the Arab men and women all come in with Arab type conservative clothes but soon dress in shorts and western wear including the women. There are after parties with alcohol and the Arabs drink like fishes. When they leave to fly back home their conservatives clothes go back on.
When a plane leaves Saudi Airspace, Saudi businessmen will proceed to drink all the alcohol on the plane, and when the plane lands, they head straight for the nudie bar.
