On election night 2016 I was happy when Burr won. It meant Trump would likely carry N.C. It also added an R to the senate. That was the only 2 reasons.

WikipediaBurr was first elected to the United States Senate in 2004. Since 2015, Burr has served as the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. In 2016, he announced that he would not be seeking reelection in 2022.
