I don't know how they recorded things during flu outbreaks. If someone had diabetes but the flu brought them to the hospital, was it a flu death or a diabetes death? I'm sure there are exceptions, like someone with stage 4 lung or pancreas cancer catching covid-19.
All I said was that it was a fair question, and a fair answer.
