The style is that of The Greatest Generation.. and President Trump has it! I see my late father in him.. So much alike!
Both could be direct or playful but Reagan more so disarmed through charm whereas Trump is a blunt object upside the head type. But in that exchange he was nostalgically Reaganesque.
