Trump stated he relied on his task force especially the doctors as the justification for closing the borders. So you are wrong.
You are absolutely incorrect that Fauci is waging a war on the anti malaria drug and any other drug. He is a doctor and thus, he can say it shows promise etc. but he has to base his decisions on proper scientific studies. That hasn’t happened yet but I think we are getting close. Others in the administration are key to moving this drug out there, have taken the lead and it is showing promise in most, not all, cases.
By the way, Fauci does not make the decisions. Trump has assembled an excellent task force of medical specialists, folks who specialize in procurement, folks who specialize in logistics and folks who specialize in economic matters. They debate as a whole and provide advice as a whole to the president who ultimately makes the decision. Trump supports all of them including Mike Pence who leads the task force. To go after one or two people in the task force for no good reason is just plain wrong and ignorant of what is happening behind closed doors.

He is not the FDA. It's not his business to approve or disapprove drugs. The FDA, who's job it is to approve or disapprove drugs, has already given provisional approval for Chloroquine to be used for coronavirus.
Fauci has ZERO experience in treating anybody with coronavirus. He needs to shut up already about the approval of drugs for coronavirus.
