We're in the mitigation phase, and social distancing is the strategy. Surveillance is the next phase, and the strategy involves testing and contact tracing. There might not be another epidemic.

It's been likened to fighting a forest fire — it's raging now; but, by summer there should just be the occasional small flareup that's easy to contain.
