The White House trade adviser Peter Navarro blew up at Dr. Anthony Fauci, the US's top infectious-disease expert, during a fraught coronavirus task force meeting in the Situation Room on Saturday, Axios reported.
The argument stemmed from a disagreement over how much the White House should back hydroxychloroquine as a coronavirus treatment. Navarro reportedly touted the drug's "clear therapeutic efficacy," while Fauci said there was only anecdotal evidence about its effectiveness.
Fauci's comments "just set Peter off," a source told Axios, and Navarro went on to accuse Fauci of opposing President Donald Trump's travel restrictions for China. Fauci, who has praised Trump's actions, "looked confused," the report said.
Vice President Mike Pence tried to calm the situation, while "everyone was just trying to get Peter to sit down and stop being so confrontational," a source told the news website.

Navarro’s is the economics guy while Fauci is the pandemic establishment guy. It’s inevitable that they would butt heads. Unlike most Presidents who surround themselves with “yes” men Trump picks advisors from both sides of issues to make their best arguments and then he decides.
This team is trying to manage both the worst ourbreak of an infectious disease since the Spanish Flu and the worst blow to the economy since the Great Depression. Tempers will flare under the stress, I don’t see how this is really newsworthy.
Navarro should have gone over the table. Leave a memory. No point in losing your cool otherwise.

I’m a doctor I started using the hydroxychloroquine about five weeks ago when I heard about its use in China and South Korea. However there is no compelling evidence that it works so I agree with Fauci in that regard.
The Drug must be taken along with zinc if it is to work.
Then it... works.

If there’s no compelling evidence it works, then why take it?
Conversely, if groups of people are prescribed it and there are excellent outcomes in that group, then there is a benefit demonstrated.
And by “it”, I mean the hydroxy + zinc (and add azithro or some other antibiotic such as doxy)
