Up until about a week or so ago, corporate suits were forbidding grocery employees in my area from wearing masks & gloves - didn’t want to scare customers.

Same here. Those corporate suits are invincible, don't ya know, even against the legal, political and economy scythe just around the corner. It's time for a new economy, an economy based on far more distributed production on U.S. soil.
