When have we heard a peep out of anyone for grocery store workers who die from the seasonal flu, and have been doing so for decades?
Good Fiord.
Indeed - and dying from strokes, diabetes, liver failure, alcohol poisoning, collapsed lungs, severe gastric upsets, - all sorts of conditions which strike people down daily. As the workforce for grocery stores in the US would be millions of people, one would expect that there are deaths. The way that this story is reported, vague and alarmist, makes me suspicious.
So far this year over 24,000 have died from influenza.
