COLUMBIA, SC (WSPA) – South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster issued a mandatory “Home or Work Order” Monday requiring residents to stay home unless they are working, visiting family, recreation, or obtaining necessary goods and services.

The governor also limited the total number of customers allowed in businesses to no more than five per 1,000 square feet or 20 percent of capacity, whichever is lower.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is reporting 183 new coronavirus cases in the state bringing the total to 2,232.

DHEC is also reporting four additional coronavirus-related deaths in the state bringing the total number to 48.

“working, visiting family, recreation, or obtaining necessary goods and services”

So don’t stay at home then?

This is pretty much how we’ve been rolling for the past week at least. I’m not sure what is different now.

Last week Linda Graham was talking about the great steak dinner he had at some restaurant at home. So SC has joined the misery club.

It’s ok (for him).

You beat me to it. I was going to ask, “Why else would you leave home?”

Pretty much. The only twist from before requires open retailers to use the 5 patrons in store per 1000 sq foot standard and banishes frivolous activities and travel. The EO seems to be more about i dotting and t crossing than a lockdown with teeth.

Any US county with a large collegiate student population should have a stay home order.

I got the last piece from the powder coating place.

Odds are they will stay open but I’d rather not risk it with the item I had chromed for a relative.

All my jeep parts are back.

It will be a least a month before I might have enough to justify a trip there. In that month if they get the chop I’m not hampered there.

Here in the Midlands we have some graffiti artist out at night defacing our buildings, maybe it is an attempt to keep trouble off the streets.

About the time the Governor was making his pronouncement, I was on the phone with a friend in SC who told me there was no stay at home order yet.

Ha, there is now

I guess Gov. Master thinks the liberal criticism he’s been getting will turn to praise now that he’s gone full Nazi.
