Masks protect others. POTUS has had 2 tests, so far, both negative. He has no reason to wear a mask.

I will bet that IF he did wear a mask, the media would speculate he tested positive, because that is the only reason to wear a mask. They would characterize him as fearful and weak.

Using a barrier in public is probably mostly psychologically comforting.
