In my reading I don't think it was a bioengineered virus. Coronaviruses IMO are very hard to bioengineer as are most RNA viruses. The accidental release of the virus into the environment is a plausible theory and has merit. I don't even thing the Chinese communists would risk releasing this on purpose without a solid treatment or vaccine option. They are communists, dishonest and unreliable, but they aren't stupid.
