A Louisiana nurse (@catmc2380) tweeted yesterday:
“Things in Louisiana are pretty crazy but there is hope. The hospital I work in is using the hdroxychloroquine, zithromax, zinc and vitamin c regimen. I will say when looking at a patient’s CRP level, each day CRP decreased significantly. This is proof it can work. “
“The vitamin C (500 mg at night) is by mouth, so is the Zinc (220 mg at night) and hdroxychloroquine (400 mg daily). The Zithromax is given iv (once a day) because these are hospitalized patients receiving it. I do not know if my hospital has iv form of vitamin C.”
BTW someone responded to what is CRP: “C-reactive Protein. A marker in the blood that indicates infection and inflammation. Lower number, better.”
