The Other Chinese Infection

The Chinese Communist Party’s Long March through the Institutions has been proceeding right under our noses, and it’s high time we applied serious and penetrating scrutiny to the Party’s practices as they relate to our own institutions. A case in point is the piles of money the ChiComs have been pouring into U.S. colleges and universities without anyone seeming to care. As Peter Wood, president of the National Association of Scholars, points out, “The dark money in politics is a fraction of the dark money in education.” Though federal law mandates that gifts of $250,000 or more by foreign entities to American universities must be disclosed, this rule is easily circumvented, and for many years there has been little attempt at enforcement anyway. In the past year the U.S. Department of Education has identified $6.5 billion in previously undisclosed foreign funding. Wood believes that Harvard and Yale have, by themselves, raked in billions of unreported foreign gifts and contracts in recent years. China isn’t doing this as a warm gesture of friendship. It wants something in return. It need hardly be noted that the interests of the Chinese Communists diverge significantly from the interests of a liberal democracy.

China just picked up where Russia stopped because it financially collapsed.

American economy has been propping up the new red power which has been subverting it.

Maybe not for a liberal democracy, but those interests are not that far off from the Progressive agenda today.

Why should this be any different than the college admissions cheating scam? Is just grander influence peddling. Secondly, this should also apply oil rich Islamic countries promoting Islam at colleges & universities.

The fact that U.S. college administrators (and professors to a lesser degree) have been indoctrinated to the point of brainwashing is no coincidence. It didn't just happen because they live in liberal echo chambers.

There is a concerted effort--a plan--behind it. And there is only one major communist country capable of organizing and funding such a plan...and it ain't Cuba or Venezuela.

That said, China and Xi must be licking their wounds and crying in their Tsingtao over the Bernie's loss of the nomination and COVID-19's resultant isolation of them.

Poor widdle Pooh Bear.

The admissions cheating scam is microscopic in, er, scope and we wouldn't even hear of it if it hadn't caught up some Hollywood types.

The almost complete indoctrination of American universities to communism (along with the media and entertainment) is basically an act of war.

Brilliant closing line:

Our friends on the left will complain that applying scrutiny to what the Chinese Communists are doing to our country is racist. Let them.

Our friends on the left will complain that applying scrutiny to what the Chinese Communists are doing to our country is racist. Let them.

As if unleashing this disease on the entire world isn't racist on china's part.

What if the DNA engineering some bio expert found in this virus was to give the chinese some level of immunity or lessened infections was proven ? Would that be racist ? How about sending contaminated tests, hardware, PPE supplies around the globe from their factories and the buyers get shafted not only in price gouging, but also more infection vectors ?

All that smacks of racist bio warfare. Certainly any rational person with 2 eyes and a few brain cells sees the need to build as much mfg. capacity at home and send china's stranglehold on the product market back behind the great wall of isolationism like it used to be with the old school chicoms.

At least with Mao we knew for certain he wanted us dead, Xi has the same goal it seems, he just hides it behind the inscrutible bowing smile and a cartoon fuzzy bear cartoon.
