A solution to the COVID-19 epidemic is in sight. It is the combo used by South Korea, where people are back at work, to successfully stem its COVID-19 outbreak. It has three parts: (1) greatly expanded testing of those who could be infected and (2) effective treatment of the virus with a hydroxychloroquine-zinc cocktail, combined with (3) the product of American ingenuity: rapid development of vaccines.
While these solutions might be thwarted by bureaucracy, progress is happening rapidly, and there are reasons why our collective Groundhog Day of staying at home every day while the economy falters and body counts grow could soon be over.
Greatly Expanded Testing
Testing is one key. South Korea did its testing for COVID-19 by setting up drive-through testing stations around the country. Sufficient tests are now available in the United States to make testing widespread, but it isn't happening. During President Trump's Coronavirus Task Force press conference on Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence and Task Force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx discussed the problem:

It is evil to use a pandemic as a political weapon. People have been legally given the right to choose medicine. I hope the families of the Coronavirus sue them and the state they live in.

This allows terminally ill patients who have exhausted all other options a chance to try a new drug not yet approved by the FDA but have shown promising potential.

If what is in the article is true then the American public is being held for ransom by the CDC and FDA’s Obama bureaucrats. Besides having a vested interest in keeping their jobs by appearing to be busy while doing nothing, they are actively invested in making PDJT look bad by slow-walking life saving decisions.
People like these should be taken on a one-way trip to the nearest adobe wall, blindfolded, and sent to hell ... on national TV no less.
The solution has been in sight since February.
People have to be careful with comparing North America with South Korea or Singapore or Taiwan. The people in countries such as those likely have social attitudes and mores that are more cohesive and respectful towards others, as opposed to people here in (mainly Democrat) areas who want to have it all ways.

Reportedly African Americans disproportionately affected by the virus. It appears flaunting the CDC recommendations is a big part of that reason

The simpler approach would be to put everyone on an HQC regime who do not have corona virus anti-bodies. Dr. Zelenko approach is to do his standard load dosage - two HQC pills a day for five days plus zinc - and then go to a maintenance dose of one pill a day plus zinc. This approach would permit all able bodied workers to return to work immediately all over the country.

I stand corrected. Zelenko’s maintenance dose is one pill a week with zinc.
Democrats never have solutions for any problems, they just make things so bad that capitalism comes in and rebuilds.
The solution is going to be what it’s been with every past virus to come through.
It will run its course and gradually peter out through natural processes. The death count will fade to the back of people’s minds and we’ll return to life as usual.
Thoughts that we are going to test or immunize 350 million people before that happens are just pie in the sky.
This covers it. It’s over. We’re already seeing the drop in deaths.

In a TV interviw, I actually heard the architect of Obamacare call the HDX/Zpac treatment “snake oil”. They are actively fighting it.
It is not in sight because the medical hierarchy is actively blocking the use of Hydroxychloroquine/Azythromycen/zinc.
